Fellow wordsmith and storyteller, Naomi Steinberg,
penned the term "winter warmer" in an invitation inspired by blessed
festiveness. With her permission, we use it as the banner for this island music
tour.
Sisters Riverine (Emily Adam and Andrea Vargas)
present "Winter Warmer: an island music tour". Winter Warmer brings
music to living rooms in the communities of Galiano, Salt Spring, Vancouver,
Gabriola and the Cowichan Valley. We come baring our hearts to gather you in song
and look to celebrate what beauty can be made of our coming together.
Our friends of the band Thereafter will
accompany us at our five locations and grace the stage with the weave made of
their fine sounds in flute, fiddle, cello, guitar, voice and cajon.
Brothers Arntzen will be with us in
Kitsilano and on Gabriola with their Grandfather to offer sweet, hot tunes from
the traditions of old time jazz.
